Old-School Spaghetti

-INGREDIENTS:

• 12 oz spaghetti

• 1 lb ground beef or turkey

• 1 small onion, chopped

• 2 cloves garlic, minced

• 1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes

• 1 tbsp tomato paste

• 1 tsp dried oregano

• 1 tsp dried basil

• Salt and pepper to taste

• 2 tbsp olive oil

• Parmesan cheese for serving

-INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Cook spaghetti according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

2. In a large pan, heat olive oil and sauté onions until soft. Add garlic and cook until fragrant.

3. Add ground beef, cooking until browned. Drain excess fat.

4. Stir in crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 20-25 minutes.

5. Toss the cooked spaghetti with the sauce until well coated.

6. Serve hot with a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese.
