Savory Sausage Puff Pastry Rolls

Ingredients:

 

500g sausage meat or ground sausage (you can use any preferred flavor, like pork, chicken, or beef)

 

1 pack of puff pastry sheets (thawed if frozen)

 

1 egg (for egg wash)

 

Salt and pepper to taste

 

Optional: herbs like thyme, rosemary, or parsley, chopped

 

 

Instructions:

 

1. Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).

 

 

2. Roll out the puff pastry and cut it into rectangles.

 

 

3. Season the sausage meat with salt, pepper, and any herbs you prefer.

 

 

4. Place a portion of sausage meat onto each puff pastry rectangle, then roll the pastry around the meat, sealing the edges with a little water.

 

 

5. Brush the top of each roll with beaten egg for a golden finish.

 

 

6. Place the rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

 

 

7. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the pastry is golden and the sausage is cooked through.
