•INGREDIENTS:
For the Burgers:
1 pound ground beef (or ground turkey)
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Salt and pepper, to taste
8 mini burger buns
For the Toppings:
1 cup pizza sauce (store-bought or homemade)
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Sliced pepperoni (or other favorite pizza toppings)
Fresh basil leaves (optional)
•INSTRUCTIONS:
Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Prepare the Burger Mixture: In a bowl, combine the ground beef, garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined, being careful not to overwork the meat.
Form Mini Patties: Divide the mixture into 8 equal portions and shape them into small patties.
Cook the Patties: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the patties for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness. Remove from heat.
Assemble the Burgers: Place each cooked patty on a mini burger bun. Top each with a spoonful of pizza sauce, a sprinkle of mozzarella cheese, and a few slices of pepperoni.
Bake: Place the assembled mini pizza burgers on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for about 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Serve: Remove from the oven and, if desired, garnish with fresh basil leaves. Serve warm with extra pizza sauce on the side for dipping.
