Simple and Delicious Broccoli Omelette Recipe

•INGREDIENTS:

-250g broccoli

-3 eggs

-Salt and pepper to taste

-20g green onion, chopped

-1/2 onion, diced

-20g mozzarella cheese (optional)

-Olive oil

•INSTRUCTIONS:

Prepare the Broccoli

Cut Broccoli: Begin by cutting the broccoli into small, bite-sized pieces. This ensures that the broccoli cooks evenly and fits nicely in the omelette.

Soak in Hot Water: Place the broccoli pieces in a bowl of hot water and let them soak for 5 minutes to soften them. This step helps to tenderize the broccoli quickly.

Drain and Set Aside: After soaking, drain the broccoli thoroughly and set it aside to be added to the egg mixture later.

Prepare the Egg Mixture

Whisk Eggs: In a mixing bowl, crack the eggs and whisk them together until well beaten. Whisking the eggs vigorously will incorporate air, making the omelette fluffier.

Season: Add salt and pepper to taste. This is your opportunity to flavor the eggs before combining them with the other ingredients.

Combine Ingredients: Stir in the chopped broccoli, green onion, diced onion, and mozzarella cheese (if using). Mix until all ingredients are evenly distributed throughout the egg mixture.

Cook the Omelette

Heat Olive Oil: Heat a small amount of olive oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Olive oil adds a nice flavor and helps prevent the omelette from sticking to the pan.

Pour Egg Mixture: Pour the egg mixture into the pan, spreading it out evenly to cover the entire bottom of the pan.

Cook Until Set: Cook the omelette for 3-5 minutes, or until the bottom is set and golden brown. You’ll know it’s ready to flip when the edges begin to lift away from the pan.

Flip the Omelette: Carefully flip the omelette over using a plate. Place a plate over the pan, flip the pan so the omelette lands on the plate, then slide the omelette back into the pan. Cook for another 2 minutes until fully cooked through.

Serve

Plate the Omelette: Once cooked, slide the omelette onto a serving plate. The omelette should be golden brown on both sides and fully cooked in the center.

Serve Immediately: Serve the omelette hot, garnished with additional chopped green onions if desired. This adds a fresh, vibrant touch to the dish.
