Flourless Almond Cake

•INGREDIENTS:

1 1/2 cups almond flour

1 cup granulated sugar

4 large eggs

1/2 teaspoon baking powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Powdered sugar, for dusting (optional)

 

•INSTRUCTIONS:

Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C). Grease an 8-inch (20cm) cake pan with butter or cooking spray and line the bottom of the pan with parchment paper.

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the almond flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt until well combined.

Add the eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract to the bowl and whisk everything together until smooth and well combined.

Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth out the surface with a spatula.

Bake the cake for 35-40 minutes or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes.

Carefully remove the cake from the pan and let it cool completely on a wire rack.

Dust the top of the cake with powdered sugar (if desired) before serving.

This Flourless Almond Cake is gluten-free, moist, and nutty. It can be served with fresh berries, whipped cream or a scoop of ice cream for a perfect dessert. I hope you enjoy it!
