Classic Vanilla Cake: Bake, Cool, Enjoy!

•INGREDIENTS:

 

1 ½ cups granulated sugar

 

2 cups all-purpose flour

 

1 cup milk

 

½ cup unsalted butter, softened

 

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

 

3 ½ teaspoons baking powder

 

3 large eggs

 

½ teaspoon salt

 

•INSTRUCTIONS:

 

Preheat the Oven* Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Prepare the Batter

In a large mixing bowl, cream the softened butter and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy.

Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.

Stir in the vanilla extract.

In another bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with the milk. Mix until just combined.

Bake* Pour the batter into a greased and floured cake pan. Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.

 

Cool and Serve* Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely. Serve warm or at room temperature. Enjoy!
