Christmas Cookie Bars

•INGREDIENTS:

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

1 cup light brown sugar, packed

1 large egg

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/4 teaspoon salt

1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour

1/2 teaspoon baking powder

1/4 teaspoon baking soda

1 cup red and green M&M’s

1/2 cup white chocolate chips

1/4 cup holiday sprinkles

•INSTRUCTIONS:

Preheat Oven:

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×9-inch baking dish with parchment paper or lightly grease it.

Prepare Wet Ingredients:

In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter and brown sugar until smooth. Add the egg and vanilla extract, whisking until combined.

Combine Dry Ingredients:

In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.

Add Mix-Ins:

Fold in the red and green M&M’s, white chocolate chips, and holiday sprinkles, ensuring they are evenly distributed in the batter.

Bake:

Spread the batter evenly in the prepared baking dish. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean or with a few moist crumbs. Be careful not to overbake.

Cool and Serve:

Allow the cookie bars to cool completely before slicing into squares. Serve and enjoy!
