•INGREDIENTS:
For the Donuts:
2 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 cup granulated sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 cup buttermilk
1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
For the Cinnamon Sugar Coating:
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
•INSTRUCTIONS:
Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a donut pan.
Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and ground cinnamon.
Combine Wet Ingredients: In another bowl, mix together the buttermilk, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined.
Combine Mixtures: Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix.
Fill the Donut Pan: Using a piping bag or a spoon, fill each donut cavity about 2/3 full with batter.
Bake: Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the donuts are golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
Prepare Cinnamon Sugar Coating: While the donuts are baking, mix the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon in a shallow bowl.
Coat the Donuts: Once the donuts are done, let them cool for a few minutes, then dip each donut in the cinnamon sugar mixture, coating well.
