Salted Caramel Walnuts 🥜


Ingredients:
2 cups walnut halves
1 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup water
2 tbsp unsalted butter
1/2 tsp sea salt
1/4 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions:
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
In a medium saucepan, combine granulated sugar and water over medium heat. Stir until the sugar dissolves.
Increase heat to medium-high and cook without stirring until the mixture turns a deep amber color.
Remove from heat and quickly stir in butter, sea salt, and vanilla extract until smooth.
Add walnut halves to the caramel mixture, stirring to coat evenly.
Spread the coated walnuts onto the prepared baking sheet in a single layer.
Allow to cool completely before breaking into clusters.
Notes:
Store in an airtight container for up to a week.
